About Me
Hi! My name is Lela and I am an incoming fourth-year honors student majoring in political science and journalism. I am the Opinion Editor for the University of Cincinnati's (UC) newspaper, The News Record, and have been a staff reporter for the publication for two years. I am also the vice president and secretary for UC's Society of Professional Journalists chapter. My goal is to become an investigative journalist focused on how public policy impacts a variety of social issues around the world - from food insecurity and health disparities to education inequalities.
